HOWLAND, VEAZIE and BANGOR – Yoli Brown, 83, passed away Nov. 2, 2005, at Westgate Manor. She was born in Yonkers, N.Y., the daughter of Agnes and Genaraso Abbatiello. In October 1946, she married her husband of 49 years, Warren, who predeceased her in March 1996. Yoli worked at numerous shoe shops in the Milo, Howland, Lincoln and Old Town areas until retiring. After a short retirement she went to work at the Hogan Road McDonald’s where she worked until 1996. After her husband’s death in 1996, Yoli moved to Veazie for a short time, then to Westgate Manor in Bangor. Yoli was predeceased by her sisters, Carmella Labarbera and Madeline Raimondo; her brothers, Sabatino “John” Abbatiello, Salvatore “Sam” Abbatiello, Dominic Abbatiello, Fiore “Lefty” Abbatiello and Anthony “Cacky” Abbatiello. She is survived by her brother, Daniel “Teddy” Abbatiello of Yonkers, N.Y.; her son, Donald Brown and wife, Sue, of Howland; her daughter, Dianne and her husband, Paul Estey, of Bangor; grandchildren, Hilary Brown of Holbrook, Mass., Karen (Estey) Lawson and her husband, Adam, of Woburn, Mass., David Estey, his wife, Katherine and Yoli’s first great-grandchild, their daughter, Peyton, of Bangor. A graveside service will be held noon Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Seboies Plantation Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at her son’s home in Howland after the burial. A Mass will be said Saturday, Nov. 19, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church, Howland. Many thanks to the staff of Westgate Manor for their kind and compassionate care of Yolie through her illness.
