HODGDON and MONSON Yvonne (York) Hastey, 77, died Feb. 12, 2007, in Houlton. She was born Oct. 8, 1929, in Monson, the daughter of Edward and Maude (Kelley) Richards. Yvonne is survived by one daughter, Susan and her husband, Herman Archer, of Island Falls; one son, Shawn and his wife, Sally York, of Houlton; three grandchildren, U.S. Navy Lt. Travis P. Joy and his wife, Mia, Mackenzie and Madison York; three great-grandchildren, Noah, Rachel and Riley Joy; two stepchildren, Larry Hastey and his wife, Janice, of Houlton and Holly Pelletier of Bramford, Conn.; four sisters, Mary of Stacyville, Marge and Francis, both of Monson, and Cecile of Millinocket; and a special daughter-in-law, Tonya York of Ludlow. She was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Ralph M York Sr.; second husband, Elwin Hastey; one son, Ralph “Mike” York Jr.; her sister, Golden; and four brothers, Johnny, Edmund, William and Fidele. Friends may call noon-2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Bowers Funeral Home, Island Falls, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with the Rev. David Tuttle officiating. A spring interment will be held at St. Agnes Cemetery.
