DOVER FOXCROFT – Zane Gray Clukey, 60, of Wellington, passed away Jan. 5, 2006, at Mayo Hospital. He was born July 12, 1945, the son of George Clukey and Clyde Libby. Zane was a self employed woodsman who was a great hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and cutting up his firewood, playing games and telling jokes and coconut pies. He loved his daughters dearly. He is survived by two daughters, Penney Tatakis and husband, John, of Skowhegan and Tina Lytle and husband, Ron, of Guilford; beloved soul-mate, Deanie Withee; two stepsons, Philip and Ernie McCarthy of Harmony; two brothers, David and Ralph, both of Skowhegan; one sister, Jane Goodridge of Skowhegan; four grandchildren, Bethany, Jennifer, Timothy and Justin; two stepgrandchildren, Samantha and Nicole; several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his parents, brother, George; and stepgrandson, Christopher. Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, with a service to follow at 3 p.m., at Smart and Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Southside Cemetery in Skowhegan.
