DEBRA J. MURPHY

DEBRA J. MURPHY – HUDSON – Debra J. Murphy, 51, died Sept. 28, 2008, surrounded by her loving family at her home, after a long illness. She was born Sept. 29, 1956, in Bangor, the daughter of John and Phyllis (Proctor) Iwaniszek. Debra owned and operated a dog grooming business and loved her dogs. The love of her life was her granddaughter, Nevaeh. She loved spending time with her family camping, visiting the Maine coast and lakes. Debra’s favorite verse that gave her comfort was Psalm 23. She is survived by her loving husband, Tim Murphy of Hudson; her loving son and his wife, Justin and Angie Iwaniszek of Bangor; a special niece, who was like her own daughter, Kasey Iwaniszek of Sangerville; one sister, Dee Dee Wood of Hudson; two brothers, John Iwaniszek of Glenburn and Stephen Iwaniszek of Las Vegas; several other nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Cheryl Iwaniszek. A service of remembrance will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. Friends may call 5 p.m. Wednesday until time of the service.
