EDMUNDS – Patricia Jean Day, 61, passed away Oct. 6, 2008, at her home. She was born Oct. 2, 1947, in Sanford, the daughter of Stephen and Alma (Provoncal) Picken. She had a heart of gold, and loved doing for others. She was a volunteer for Meals for Me, a driver for many to appointments and shopping, and a caregiver to her friend, Dottie. She loved her pets, enjoyed cooking and she was especially close to her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Patrick Day; children, Melissa Prevatt, Steven Cabana, Becky Day, Shelley Seavey, John Day and Dawn Day; eight grandchildren; cousins, Marlene Alexander, Carlene Couture, Kathy Boisvert and Sharon Bennett. She will also be missed by special friends, Helen Mitchell, Lila Mahar and Laura Connole. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Regina Jarvis. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, at Dennysville Cemetery with Pastor Bill Sawtelle officiating. Those wishing to make donations in her memory may do so to the Beckett Center, Calais; PAWS, Calais; or Ark Animal Shelter, Harrington. Arrangements are in care of McClure Family Funeral Services, Lubec.
