DOROTHY B. JORDAN

ELLSWORTH – Dorothy B. Jordan, 81, died Oct. 7, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. She was born June 1927, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Arnold and Myrtle (Braley) Barnes. Dorothy worked for New England Telephone Co., retiring after 39 years. She was an avid reader, card player and enjoyed traveling and cooking. She loved her times spent with her children and special grandchild, Isaiah. She was a member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and Union Congregational Church of Ellsworth Falls. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Calvin; son, Kelly Jordan and wife, Christine; daughter, Ann Jordan and husband, Normand Audet; grandson, Isaiah Audet; brother, James D. Barnes and wife, Eva, all of Ellsworth; many nieces and nephews; and will be sadly missed by her very special feline companion, Foxie. She was predeceased by two special nephews, Roger and Arden Barnes; brother, Harold Barnes; and sister, Margaret Whitmore. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
