MARIE J. ROBINSON

GLENBURN – Marie J. Robinson, 77, wife of Kenneth E. Robinson, died Oct. 9, 2008, at her home in Glenburn, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Oct. 17, 1930, in Sangerville, the daughter of Walter E. and Doris O. (Dulac) Demmons. Marie was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and worked in food service at Husson College for many years. She was an attentive wife, nurturing mother and caring grandmother to both her two-legged and four legged grandchildren. She taught us many lessons in life that we will always be grateful for; the most important of which is her family. Whether it was a phone call to check in, a card on a special occasion or a visit when you really needed to see a friendly face, she always kept her family close. “We will always be thankful for that and we vow to continue your traditions. Surviving, in addition to her husband of 52 years of Glenburn, are two daughters, Debra Buswell and her husband, George, of Corinth and Joan Gray and her husband, Wayne, of Dedham; two grandchildren, Jennifer Deane and her husband, Shane, of Corinth and Shawn Gray of Brewer; three brothers, Walter Demmons, Louis Demmons and his wife, Lucille, Dennis Demmons and his wife, Linda, all of Carmel; four sisters, Marjorie Kelley and her husband, David, of Hermon, Mary Mulldune of Carmel, Betty Hurlbert and her husband, Roger, of Florida and Barbara Potter and her husband, Eddie, of Bangor; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Donnie Demmons, her sister-in-law, Norma Demmons; and a special cousin, Mary Carleton. Her family thanks the kind staff at Hospice of Eastern Maine, especially Beth, Dolly, Donna and Cheryl. Family and friends may visit 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A service honoring Marie’s life and burial at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor, will be private.
