STOCKTON SPRINGS – Mark “Markie” Thomas passed away Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008. He was born April 18, 1994, in Greenville Junction. He is dearly missed by his mother, Tammy (Noble) Thomas and her friend, Lewis Littlefield III, of Searsport; and his father, Mark Thomas Sr. and his friend, Lori Rosetti, of Stockton Springs. He was a freshman at Searsport High School and was also enrolled at Waldo County Technical School. He was a school athlete participating in baseball and cross-country. Many friends and family loved him. He was a very smart and capable young man. Markie was talented with his hands and he held a natural ability to disassemble and repair many things that were offered to him to work with. He also enjoyed racing and working on his stockcar, which he competed with in the Teen Thunder Division at Unity Raceway. He was predeceased by his fraternal grandfather, Richard A. Thomas of Harmony. Surviving in addition to his parents are three sisters, Kimberly and her husband, Kenneth Boehimer and their two children, Kristen and Kenny of Northport, and Stephanie and Elizabeth Thomas of Stockton Springs; maternal grandparents, Dana and Georgia Noble of Brooksville, Fla.; fraternal grandmother, Marilyn Thomas of Hartland; maternally, his Uncle Paul Noble of Cambridge, Aunt Gaye and her husband, Frank Richards, of Mapleton, Aunt Kathy and her husband, Richard Vining, of Brooksville, Fla.; fraternally, his Uncle Douglas Thomas and his wife, of Ripley, Uncle Richard and his wife, Sandy Thomas, of Dover Foxcroft, Uncle Jeff and his wife, Wanda Thomas, of Harmony, Aunt Brenda and her husband, Bud Whitney, of Harmony, Uncle William and his wife, Linda Thomas, of Scarborough, Uncle Bruce and Charity Thomas of Willimantic, Uncle John and his wife, Doral Thomas, of Orrington, and Aunt Betsey Synnestvedt of Pennsylvania; as well as many cousins and a special friend, Mirissa Melnick of Stockton Springs. Friends and family are welcome to attend the memorial service to be held 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Mosman Park, Searsport.
