THERESA J. POTORTI – BANGOR – Theresa Jean Potorti, 54, passed away Oct. 13, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, at her residence. She was born March 6, 1954, in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of Aubrey C. and Annabelle (Burrill) Quimby. Theresa graduated from Bangor High School, Class of 1972. She worked 12 years at Holiday Inn, Bangor. Theresa was a loyal, giving and loving, mother, sister and friend, who always put others before herself. She is survived by a son, Domonic Potorti of Nashville, Ind.; a daughter, Julia Potorti of Bangor; two sisters, Ellen Viars and husband, Ed, of Accokeek, Md., Lois Schultz and husband, Larry, of South Haven, Miss.; two brothers, Butch Quimby and wife, Rhonda, of Hooksett, N.H., George Quimby and wife, Tammy, of Brewer; special friends, the Tripp family; numerous aunts, uncles and extended family. Relatives and friends are invited to gather 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor.
