BANGOR – Frank Arlen Bickford, 73, died unexpectedly Oct. 8, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born Oct. 31, 1934, the son of Hollis and Violet Bickford. He had been a member of United Church of God since 1987. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Bickford; four daughters, Lisa Bickford Glabere, Sherry Hardy, Catherine Walsh and Lessie Desjardins; five sons, David Bickford, Timothy Bickford, Frank Kernan, James Kernan and Mark Kernan; one sister, Janice Merrill; one brother, Earl Bickford; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at the chapel of Bangor House, 174 Main St., where Frank resided. Donations and flowers may be sent to 174 Main St., Apt. 408W, Bangor, ME 04401.
