CARIBOU – Eddie Doucette, 79, passed away Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008, at a Caribou hospital. He was born May 1, 1929, in Stockholm, the son of Joseph and Mary (Derosier) Doucette. Eddie worked in construction for many years, and enjoyed his vegetable and flower gardens, which he so carefully tended. He is survived by a son, Steven Doucette and his wife, Tammy; two daughters, Margaret Cochran and her husband, Stratford, and Judy Guerette and her husband, Ervin, all of Stockholm; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters, Rena Morin of Caribou and Shirley Vines of Sumter, S.C.; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Eddie was predeceased by his wife of 55 years; Margaret (Miler) Doucette, five brothers and three sisters. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Aaron Damboise, celebrant. Interment will take place after the service at St. Theresa’s Catholic Cemetery, Stockholm. Arrangements in care of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou.
