DOVER-FOXCROFT – Rosalie D. Shedd, 70, wife of the late Hollis W. Shedd, died Oct. 23, 2008, at her home. She was born April 12, 1938, in Drew Plantation, the daughter of Zelotis and Marjory (Briggs) Toby. Rosalie enjoyed crocheting, collecting beanie babies, watching movies and going to yard sales. She was a very special mother and grandmother, and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three children, Jeffrey McGinley and his wife, Cynthia, of Sebec, Melanie Eastman and her husband, Rick, of Atkinson and Todd Shedd and his wife, Karen, of Holliston, Mass.; a brother, Victor Toby of Dover-Foxcroft; a sister, Mabel Bates and her husband, Al, of Alfred; seven grandchildren, who meant the world to her, Roderick Eastman Jr., Kayla Eastman, Justin McGinley, Nathan McGinley, Jonathon McGinley, Chelsey Shedd and Tyler Robert Shedd; one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her closest, dearest friend, Shirley Langley; and a special neighbor, Norman, who looked after her. In addition to her husband, Hollis, she was predeceased by a son, Patrick Sullivan; a sister, Gerry Adams; and a brother, Bill Toby. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Timothy Shaw officiating.
