VEAZIE- Lionel A. Theriault, 73, died Oct. 26, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 26, 1935, in Old Town, son of Bernard L. and Mina S. (Ouellette) Theriault. Lionel graduated from Winterport High School. He was married to Evangeline Pelletier, who predeceased him in 1995. Lionel served two years in the U.S. Army and 28 years in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring in 1988. He was employed by Acme-Dunham Inc. and served as a sales representative for Glidden Paint Co., retiring in 1995. Lionel was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, where he served as a Eucharistic minister and a long time member of the parish choir. He was a member of Father Druillette Council No. 2537 Knights of Columbus and fourth degree Assembly. He is survived by a son, John Theriault and his wife, Suzanne, of Chesapeake, Va.; two grandsons, John “Jack” Theriault Jr. and Dylan Theriault, both of Chesapeake, Va.; two sisters, Leola DeRedin of Sandy Point and Mary Lou Proctor of Dover, Del.; a brother, Wayne Theriault of Windham; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was also predeceased by a brother, Bernard in 1953; and a sister, Gloria Carlton in 1988. Relatives and friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where there will be a prayer service 7 p.m. by the members of Father Druillette Council Knights of Columbus. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Interment with military honors will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio Street, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Brookings-Smith, Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service.
