FORT KENT and ST. FRANCIS – Jeanne (Desjardins) Lozier, 96, died Oct. 29, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born May 16, 1912, in Daigle, the daughter of Denise and Margerette (Corbin) Desjardins. Jeanne was a member of Ladies of St. Anne and Senior Citizens Club, both of Fort Kent, and Lakeview Senior Citizens Club of Cross Lake. She is survived by her son, John Lozier of St. David; her daughter, Gretta (Vaillencourt) Jalbert of St. John; six granddaughters, Elizabeth Jalbert of St. Joseph’s, Miss., Denna Potter of Frenchville, Jennifer Pouline O’Leary of Thompston, Conn., Jessica Erdrich of St. Joseph’s, Miss., Joy La’Case of Dover-Foxcroft and Sarah Lozier of Ocala, Fla.; and one sister-in-law, Verna Lozier of Fort Kent. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Antoine Vaillencourt; her second husband, Rene Lozier; and two sisters, Dora Landry and Melvina Boucher. Friends may call 8-10:30 a.m. Saturday at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis.
