HARTLAND – Lillian E. Hall, 96, passed away Nov. 1, 2008, at Sanfield Rehab and Living Center, Hartland. She was born Oct. 4, 1912, in Hartland, a daughter of Fred and Inez (Deering) Hart. She graduated from Hartland Academy. Lillian worked in the 1950s in the school lunch program. She later worked beside her husband, Maurice, at Hall’s Service Station, Hartland, for 10 years. Lillian faithfully attended Grace Linn United Methodist Church, was a 50-year life member of Order of the Eastern Star and was a past member of Scott-Webb Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband and several siblings. Lillian is survived by her sons, Phillip and wife, Lotena, and Clifton and wife, Linda, all of Hartland; daughters, Grace and husband, Dean Peasley, of Ripley and Jeanette and husband, Stephen Hall, of Guilford; sister, Marguerite Hart of Fairfield; brothers, Bernard Hart of Anson and Albert and wife, Arlene Hart, of Norridgewock; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main St., Newport. Graveside funeral and committal services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hartland, with Pastor Elizabeth Bailey-Mitchell officiating.
