BREWER and DANVERS, Mass. – Grace Maybury Martin, 89, died peacefully Nov. 1, 2008, surrounded by her family at home. She was born April 23, 1919, in Clearfield, Pa., the daughter of Frederick and Martha (Gunsallus) Williams. Grace worked many years as a school nurse at Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School. She resided in Danvers, Mass., for 60 years. Four years ago Grace moved to Brewer and resided at the Ellen Leach Home, where she made many wonderful friends and enjoyed being involved in the many activities there. She was predeceased by two husbands, Richard D. Maybury and Paul Martin. Surviving are three children, Michael Maybury and his wife, Elizabeth “B.J.,” of Brewer, David Maybury of Boise, Idaho, and Judy Santos and her husband, William, of Eddington; five grandchildren, Mark Maybury, Penny Allard, Lainie Maybury, Matthew Santos and Nathan Santos; several great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren, Richard Whitmore and Valerie Andrick; several great-stepgrandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Holten Street Cemetery, Danvers, Mass., with the Rev. Judy Proctor, pastor of First Church of Danvers, Congregational, UCC, officiating.
