BREWER and LINCOLN Byron Jones, 84, died Nov. 3, 2008, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Feb. 28, 1924, the son of Hollis and Althea Jones. Byron was a resident of Fairmount Boarding Home for 20 years, living there until June of this year. He enjoyed snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, playing his trumpet and music. Byron is survived by two sisters, Lorraine Jones Ware and her husband, Newell, of New York and Carolyn Merritt and her husband, William, of Lincoln; a sister-in-law, Barbara Jones of Bangor; nieces and nephews, Brenda, Brian, Kathy, Ricky, Jim, Sandy-Jo, Steve, Laurie, Mike, Diane and Scott; and many cousins. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Jones and Carroll Jones; and a sister, Muriel Glidden. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, at Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev.
