SYDNEY, Nova Scotia – It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Christopher Allen Gallagher, loving son, brother and uncle, Nov. 5, 2008, at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, Nova Scotia. Born Dec. 24, 1962, in Bangor, he was the son of James K. Gallagher and the late Guida M. Gallagher. Christopher worked and lived for many years in Boston. He then resided in Toronto prior to moving to Sydney, Nova Scotia, to be close to his sisters and brothers. He is survived by his three sisters, Terry Lynn and David Marshall of Membertou, Nova Scotia, Annmarie Gallagher of Benson, Ariz., and Linda and Norman St. Pierre of Auburn. He is also survived by his brothers, John Gallagher of Saco, Michael Gallagher of Houlton, Nelson, Phillip, Wayne and Anthony Morris, all of Eskasoni, Nova Scotia, and Roger Morris of San Antonio. In addition to his immediate family, Chris is survived by his nephews, Christien, James, Julian, Steven, Tarrin and Brendan; and nieces, Andrea, Whitney, Tiffany, Jillian and Zara. Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery with the Rev. Rudolph Leveille officiating. Friends are welcome to gather 9:30 a.m. at the Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery office.
