BANGOR and VEAZIE – Edna E. Durgan, 87, died Nov. 10, 2008, at a Bangor health care center. She was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Ludlow, Mass., the daughter of Edward T. and Cora (Sorel) Jordan. Edna worked in the dietary department at St. Joseph Hospital, Bangor, for 16 years. She is survived by four children, Robert W. Durgan of Chattanooga, Tenn., Richard T. Durgan and his wife, Jennifer, of Clifton, Barbara Ann Driscoll and her husband, Joseph, of Bozeman, Mont., and Linda Marie Dupuis and her husband, Rodney, of Eddington; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Leon A. Jordan and his wife, Bette, of South Burlington, Vt.; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; one grandchild, Tammy Osnoe; and one great-grandchild, Patrick Willett. She will be remembered by some special friends, Barbara and Danny Galen, Susan Logan, Sandy Lynch, Mary Ellen Therriault, Beryle and Mike Jondreau, and Evelyn Blanchette. A service honoring Edna’s life will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 13, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. Burial will be private.
