EAST MILLINOCKET – Mary D. Moore, 76, wife of the late Frederick J. Moore Sr., died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, at a Millinocket hospital. She was born Feb. 14, 1932, at Eagle Lake, the daughter of John and Florence (Bouchard) Dubay. Mary was a nanny and housekeeper in the community for 42 years. Mary had a love for cooking and spent many hours cooking at Terry’s Texaco and also at Rockin’ Robin’s, Medway, as well as for East Branch Sno Rovers, East Millinocket and Ladies Auxiliary at Medway Disabled American Veterans, where she was a member. She is survived by two sons, Frederick J. Moore Jr. of East Millinocket and Ricky Moore Sr. of Maryland; a daughter, Tammy Blackburn of Madison, Wis.; three grandchildren, Susan Marie Moore, Tina Lynn Moore and Ricky Moore Jr.; three great-grandchildren, James, Noah and Isabella Moore; four brothers, Richard Dube and his wife, Pat, of Lincoln, Raymond Dubay and his wife, Ada, of Lee, Donald Dubay of Bristol, Conn., and John Dubay and his wife, Andrea, of Lincoln; four sisters, Fernande Johnson and Doris Swasey, both of Bristol, Conn., Jane Merchant of Millinocket, and Ellen Cote and her husband, Walter, of Lincoln; a half sister, Nancy Churchill of Presque Isle; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Moore of Lincoln and Elizabeth Gustafasen of Connecticut; two brothers-in-law, Terry Emery and Cal Moore of Connecticut; many nieces and nephews; three special friends, Lillian Turcotte, Maxine Small and Jean Michaud; and her dog, Lady. In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by a son at birth; a grandson, Frederick J. Moore III; two brothers, Alton Dubay and Peter Dubay; and a sister, Ruth Emery. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Old Medway Cemetery, Church Street, Medway. A memorial luncheon will be held after at Medway D.A.V., sponsored in Mary’s memory by the Medway D.A.V. and the D.A.V. Auxiliary.
