MATTAWAMKEAG – Evelyn Worster, 89, passed away Nov. 18, 2008, at a Lincoln health care facility. She was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Prentiss, the daughter of Pearl and Estelle (Boyd) Jipson. Evelyn enjoyed doing handy work, and crocheted, knitted and made afghans. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, watching TV and was a family person who loved being with her family. Evelyn is survived by eight grandchildren, Clifford Miracle of Michigan, Vincent Worster, Ronald Worster, Donna O’Neal, Douglas and Tracy Worster, Debra and Joseph Cahall, Brenda and Jay Cottet, and Brooks Nichols, all of Delaware; 19 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Joan Hipps of Delaware; one brother, Hazen Jipson and Theo of Webster; four sisters, Marion Worster of Howland, Annette Osgood of Kingman, Frances Robinson of Glenburn, and Katherine Gogan and Walter of Bangor; a sister-in-law, Claire Jipson; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one son, Vaughn; two brothers, Kenneth and Robert; three sisters, Hazel Bishop, Angie Boyington and Lorraine Worster. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with her nephew, Peter Jipson officiating. Interment will be at Treadwell Cemetery, Prentiss. Those who wish may donate in her memory to a charity of choice.
