KINGMAN – Carlton J. Keith Sr., 76, husband of Constance (Quirion) Keith, passed away Nov. 19, 2008, at his home, holding the hand of his son, Greg. He was born May 16, 1932, in Kossuth Plantation, the son of Fayette and Delvina (Severance) Keith. Carlton was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He had worked for the railroad, and also worked in the woods. In addition to his wife of 29 years, Constance, he is survived by three children, Gary Keith and his companion, Anne, of Augusta, Gregory Keith and his wife, Brandee, of Kingman, and Susan Thornton and her husband, Rick, of Oxford; two stepchildren, Cindy Madsen and her husband, Skip, of West Gardiner, and Gary Wallace of Randolph; a brother, Ivan Keith of Mapleton; a sister, Jenny Filtz and her husband, Joseph, of Bangor; a sister-in-law, Helen Keith of Kingman; a special granddaughter, Brianna Keith; three stepgrandchildren who lived with him, Cassandra, Leland and Dakota Glidden, all of Kingman; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was cared for by a special PCA he called Dr. Stinson, “Eric Stinson.” Brandee was not only his special daughter-in-law, but was also his full-time caretaker. He was predeceased by his children, Carlton Keith Jr., Kevin Keith and Cindy Lou Keith; a stepson, Brian Wallace; as well as brothers and sister, Ronald Keith, Fayette Keith, Mary Spinney and Pelem Noyes. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Francene Stanley officiating.
