CORINNA and CLEVELAND, Tenn. – Alice Mae (Thompson) Curtis, 90, died Nov. 19, 2008, at Morningside Assisted Living Center. She was born June 4, 1918, in Corinna, a daughter of Frank and Martha (Rhodes) Thompson. She attended Corinna schools and was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill, Corinna. She married Harold Woodrow Curtis, Feb. 8, 1936, and he predeceased her Nov. 22, 1994. Alice was a member of Pleasant Street Christian Church. She moved out to Tennessee to be near her daughter and family, and is survived by Nancy and husband, Donald Fenton, of Cleveland, Tenn.; a grandson, Brent and his wife, Susan Fenton, of Old Hickory, Tenn.; a great-grandson, Derrick Fenton of Cleveland, Tenn.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Crosby & Neal Chapel, 68 Exeter Road, Corinna, where friends may call 1 p.m. until time of services. Pastor Michael Troyer will officiate. Burial will be at Morse’s Corner Cemetery, Corinna. Memorial donations may be made to Pleasant Street Christian Church, 29 St. Albans Road, Corinna, ME 04928.
