PRENTISS – Clifton R. Glidden, 85, husband of Hannah Glidden, died Nov. 24, 2008, at his home. He was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Prentiss, the son of Fred and Mabel (Chubbuck) Glidden. Clifton was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Infantry. He was a wonderful, caring husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved to hunt and fish and play horseshoes. His occupation was woods work, until he retired. Clifton and his wife, Hannah, just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in March 2008. In addition to his wife, Hannah, he is survived by five children, Leona Colson and Steve, Rex Glidden and Janet, Mabel Sibley and Butch, Dane Glidden and Kim, and Bub Glidden and Pam; eight grandchildren, Troy, Cliff and Curtis Glidden, Dee Coburn and Jeremy, Brittany, Lindsay, Abigail and Andrew Glidden; five great-grandchildren, Jacob and Landen Coburn, Deanna, Kaylee and Zander Glidden; several nieces and nephews. He also leaves his special helper, David Russell. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by seven brothers and four sisters.
