BRADFORD – Jon Barton Good passed into life eternal Nov. 26, 2008, at his Bradford home after a long illness. He was born Nov. 28, 1938, in Caribou, the son of John A. and Madeline B. (Rediker) Good. He graduated from Newport High School, Class of 1958. He attended the University of Maine at Augusta. Jon was a member of the National Guard while still in high school. After his graduation he joined the regular Army and served in Berlin, just prior to the erection of the Berlin Wall. Jon and his wife, Earline, attended Bradford Baptist Church. Jon was predeceased by his parents; his beloved grandfather, Barton E. Rediker; and an infant daughter, Jennifer Rose. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Earline (Wilson) Good of Bradford; four children, Clarence Good and his wife, Araceli, of Escondido, Calif., Dawn Pommering and her husband, Fred, of Apopka Fla., Gregory Good and Christopher Good, both of Bangor; four grandchildren, Timothy, Brittaney and Brayden Good, all of California and Jennifer Hunt of Florida; one great-granddaughter, Willow Rose Good of California; two brothers, Dale E. Good of Pittsfield and Arvid Good of Belgrade; one sister, Martha Bacon of Middleton Okla.; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Jon’s life will be held 1-2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Bradford Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Booker officiating.
