NEWBURGH and ORLANDO, Fla. – Barbara F. McKay, 80, wife of Carroll “Cal” McKay, went home to be with her Lord Nov. 29, 2008, in Orlando, Fla., surrounded by her family, after an extended illness. She was born Sept. 11, 1928, in Kingman, the daughter of Raymond and Louise (Ryder) Moody. Barbara worked for many years at Sears, Roebuck & Co., Bangor. She and her husband, Cal, were former owners of McKay’s RV. For the last several years, Barbara and Cal worked at McKay’s RV & Marine Center, Holden, during the summer months. She is survived by her loving husband, Cal of Hermon; her daughter, Robin Pasternak of Orlando, Fla.; her grandson, Ryan Pasternak and his wife, Leah; her great-grandson, Branden Pasternak; two sisters, Martha Worster and Gloria Lee, both of Winterport; stepchildren, Carole and her husband, Peter Cote, of Bangor, Nancy and her husband, Herb McClure, of Newburgh, Jim McKay and his wife, Sheila, of Seattle and Kevin McKay of Bangor; several stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held next spring with a graveside service afterward at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
