MATTHEWS, N.C. – Mrs. Orcutt, 86, wife of the late Elmer John Orcutt, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at home. Born April 4, 1922, in Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Guy and Mary Lawler Swan. Survivors include children, John Webber Orcutt and wife, Karen, of Tennessee, Jayne Orcutt Kommeyer of Charlotte, N.C., Jeff Curtis Orcutt and wife, Trisha, of South Carolina, and James Michael Orcutt and wife, Brenda, also of South Carolina; nine grandchildren; brother, James Richard Swan and wife, Margaret, of Maine; and by her sister-in-law, Mary Harkins, also of Maine. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to the American Cancer Society, 6000 Fairview Road, Suite 200, Charlotte, NC 28210. Arrangements for the family are in the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington/Matthews Chapel, North Carolina.
