FORT FAIRFIELD and ST. LOUIS – Glenis A. Hale, 93, wife of the late Eugene A. Hale Jr., passed away Thanksgiving day, Nov. 27, 2008, in St. Louis. She was born Jan. 19, 1915, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Coleman O. and Jennie A. (Jameson) Ireland. She was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1932 and attended Fort Fairfield United Parish Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hale was predeceased by her husband, Eugene, June 16, 1980; two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carole and John Bishop of St. Louis; one brother, Walter Ireland of Caribou; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no services at this time. Burial will take place at Fairmount Cemetery, Presque Isle, at a later date. A service of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield.
