ORRINGTON – Wilma D. Coates-Bouchard, 75, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 5, 1933, in Perham. Wilma was a homemaker who enjoyed her family and friends, going to Florida, church and shopping for shoes. She will be so missed by her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, one sister, one brother, one grandson; her son, Doug Thayer; and stepdaughter-in-law, Kathy Bouchard. She is survived by husband, Yvon Bouchard of Orrington; her three girls, Donna Gagnon and her husband, Thomas, of Levant, Debbie Bessine and her husband, Gene, of Gladstone, Ill., and Darlene Greene of Levant; six grandchildren, including her special granddaughter, Kelly Coston of Levant; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Griffin of Levant; four stepsons, Nelson Bouchard and his wife, Charlene, of Connec-ticut, Gillman Bouchard and his wife, Martha, of Orrington, Guy Bouchard and his wife, Kathy, of Orrington and Donald Bouchard of Florida. She is also survived by special friends, Fran Wilcox, Judy Grant and Martha Bouchard. A special thanks to Bangor Area Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Eastern Maine. Thank you Mary Ellen and Connie! A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Stan Griffin, pastor of Cornerstone Baptist Church, officiating. Committal will be held at South Levant Cemetery after the service.
