WINTER HARBOR – Robert J. Waldron, 74, died Dec. 2, 2008, at a Salem, Mass., health care facility, after a brief illness. He was born May 15, 1934, in Woburn, Mass., the son of Patrick F. and Margaret (Aylward) Waldron. Robert graduated from St. Charles Elementary School and Woburn High School, Class of 1953, where he served as class president, and attended Northeastern University School of Business Administration. He served the city of Woburn (Mass.) for nine years as alderman of ward one, where he was instrumental in establishing the Woburn Boys & Girls Club and Woburn Municipal Credit Union, and providing protection for the Woburn water shed. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War. He worked for many years as a purchasing manager for several electronics companies. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, Mary Ann (Jones) Waldron; five children, Robert, Susan, Joseph, Timothy and Lisa; a cousin, Eileen Fitzgerald of Wakefield, Mass.; many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his parents; five brothers, Francis, John, Joseph, James and Edward; and a sister, Mary Ann Thibodeau. Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at Greenwood Cemetery, Winter Harbor, with Father Scott Mower, presiding.
