HAMPDEN and MILLINOCKET – Levi L. Pelletier, 64, died Dec. 6, 2008, with his loving family at his side, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 5, 1944, in Millinocket, the son of Harold and Celina (Berube) Pelletier. He attended Millinocket schools and was a 1964 graduate of Stearns High School, where he was a member of the 1963 New England Championship Basketball team. Levi was employed by Great Northern Paper Co., until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of Millinocket Elks Lodge and Sons of the American Legion, Millinocket, for many years. He enjoyed rides in the Maine woods, spending time with his grandchildren and sharing stories with them of Stearns Basketball championships through the years. He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers, Vincent and Sydney. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Beverly (Brackett) Pelletier of Hampden; his daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Terry Kenniston; his son and his girlfriend, Todd Falone and Meaghan Lombard of Hudson; seven grandchildren, Jody, Shawn, Katelyn, Alyson, Kayla, Caralyn and Samantha; three sisters, Trina and her husband, William Vaznis, Deidra and her husband, Leroy Perrow, and Kim and her husband, Tom Folsom, all of Millinocket; several nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Dr. Merrill Garrett of CancerCare of Maine for her special care. A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Christ Divine Mercy St. Martins Parish, Millinocket, with the Rev. Joel Cyr officiating.
