RIPLEY – David R. Bateman Sr. passed away Nov. 25, 2008, at a Bangor hospital, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bateman; two sons, David Jr. and Richard, all of Ripley; two stepdaughters, Mary Moses of North Carolina, Barbara Cardinell of Mexico, N.Y.; stepson, Kenneth Cardinell of Greenbush; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. There will be no services.
