BUCKSPORT – Carole J. “Allison” Warren, 70, of Bucksport, passed away peacefully Dec. 11, 2008, at the Maine Veterans’ Home in Bangor, from complications of pneumonia. Carole was born Jan. 30, 1938, the oldest daughter of Ross and Anita “Conners” Allison in Bucksport. She traveled the world with her husband, Phil and three sons during his military career. Her years were filled with the love of her devoted husband until his death in June 2007, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her family and friends and the beautiful birds that visited her bird feeders outside her bedroom window and of course her nightly viewing of Jeopardy. The last few years she became stricken with Alzheimer’s and breast cancer, but through out it all she maintained her kind and generous nature. Carole’s beautiful smile and sense of humor will be sadly missed by her three sons, “Buz” Philip Jr., Timothy and wife, Ellen, Michael and wife, Kelley, all of Bucksport; grandchildren, Justin, Nate, Scott Warren of Bucksport, Jeffery Warren of Bangor, Jared and wife, Molly, of Fort Knox, Ky., Matt Winchester and fiancee, Amber, of Bucksport; great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ryliegh of Ellsworth, Sam, Hope, Nevaeh and Ryker of Fort Knox, Ky., and Jared Timothy of Bangor; sisters, Marilyn and her husband, Paul Carter, of Verona, Irene and husband, Herb Atwood, of Bucksport, Sharon and husband, Burnie, of Bucksport; brother, Steven and wife, Kathy Allison, of Bucksport; brother-in-law, Sonny and his wife, Harriet, of Vinalhaven; sister-in-law, Bonnie Hopkins of Bass Harbor; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Philip Warren Sr.; her parents; and a brother, Gilbert Allison of Bucksport. The family would like to thank all who brought a little joy to Carole’s life-those who cared for her throughout the years and the staff at the Maine Veterans’ Home for their kindness and compassion during this very difficult time. A spring committal service is planned for both Carole and Philip when they will be laid to rest together. Arrangements by Memorial Alternatives.
