BLAINE – Judy Mae “Birdie” Stevens, 62, passed away Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at a Presque Isle hospital. She was born March 6, 1946, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Orrin Hatch and Bessie (Norsworthy) Bird. Judy was a wonderful mother who raised five children by herself. She was a great cook and was known for her fudge, chili, chicken stew, as well as many other dishes. She is survived by the love of her life, Stephen H. Haggerty of Westfield; two sons, Roger Noyes Jr. of Bangor, and Larry A. Noyes and special companion, Anna, of Caswell; and three daughters, Teri L. Young and special companion, Todd Morin, of Blaine, Lynn M. Floyd and her husband, Dave, of Ohio, and Kandi Case and her husband, Kenneth, of Blaine. She is also survived by three siblings, Linda J. York and her husband, Wilmur, of Fort Fairfield, Philip H. Bird and his wife, Debbie, of Fort Fairfield, and Kathy McIntyre and her husband, Reggie, of Presque Isle; 11 grandchildren, Dee Dee, Shawn, Ryan, Travis, Britney, Myley, LaNae, Chrissie, Brad, Ashley and Jason; two great-grandchildren, Achilles and Andrew; and four special nieces and nephews, Peggy Crawford, Christopher Fuller, Fred Bird and Reginald McIntyre Jr. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Harry C. Bird; and two grandchildren, Jesse and Ashley. Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with the Rev. Ronnie LaPointe officiating.
