DIXMONT – Norma E. Harris, 82, died Dec. 24, 2008, at a Pittsfield nursing home. She was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Augusta, a daughter of Linwood and Mary Turner. Norma graduated from Maine Central Institute, Pittsfield, and married Ralph Harris, who predeceased her. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her stepfather, William Harris, who raised her; and a daughter, Peggy Harris. Norma is survived by two sons, Kevin and wife, Michelle Harris, of Newport and Ralph and Cathy Harris of Dixmont; a sister, Judy Cook of Brunswick; as well as four grandchildren. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2009, at North Dixmont Cemetery with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
