VAN BUREN and ARUNDEL Edmund J. Lavoie, 80, of Van Buren, formerly of Biddeford, died unexpectedly Dec. 28, 2008, at Cary Medical Center, Caribou. He was born Jan. 17, 1928. He married Jeannette Gagnon, Nov. 23, 1948, at St. Bruno’s Church, Van Buren. He was a parishioner of St. Bruno’s Church, Van Buren. Mr. Lavoie enjoyed being near his family. He is survived by four sons, David J. Lavoie of Arundel, Roger J. Lavoie of Kennebunkport, Donald J. Lavoie Sr. of Van Buren and Robert J. Lavoie of Van Buren; two daughters, Gail M. Daniels of Van Buren and Robertine M. Patenaude of Kissimmee, Fla.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews Visiting hours will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph’s Church, of the Good Shepherd Parish, Biddeford. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Biddeford.
