BREWER – Mark A. Brodsky, 62, husband of Paulette L. (Goodale) Brodsky, died Dec. 30, 2008, at a Bangor hospital, from complications from diabetes. He was born Sept. 11, 1946, in Bangor, the son of Leonard Brodsky and Gerda (Nachun) Brodsky Stokler. Mark grew up in Morgantown, W.Va., graduating from Morgantown High School in 1964 and West Virginia University in 1968, with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Mark was a salesman for American Chicle, a division of Warner Lambert for many years selling candy products to both wholesale and retail customers. He won many awards and enjoyed selling and marketing his products. As a young boy, Mark loved spending summer vacations at his grandparents’ camp on Pushaw Lake. He loved snowmobiling and fishing on Philips Lake, Dedham, where he lived for 27 years. While living in Dedham, he served on the planning board for many years. He also enjoyed gardening, especially growing dahlias and strawberries, which he looked forward to every year. Surviving in addition to his loving wife of 32 years of Brewer and his mother, Gerda Stokler and her husband, Martin of Cocoa Beach, Fla., are two children, Jeremy of Brewer and Allison of Bangor; a sister, Vicki Owens and her husband, Wayne, of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; a brother, Howard and his wife, Donna, of St. Martins, Calif.; and a very special aunt and uncle, Mary and Walter Nachum of Boynton Beach, Fla. He was predeceased by his father and his grandparents. Mark requested that no service be held.
