HOLDEN – Theresa H. Dalton, 89, wife of the late George W. Dalton, died Jan. 3, 2009, at a Bangor health care facility after a long illness. She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Fort Kent, the daughter of John and Teresa (Landry) Buckley. Theresa was raised in Bangor, attended St. John’s School and graduated from John Bapst High School. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She is survived by two sons, T. Michael Dalton and his wife, Beth, of Orrington and Kerry D. Dalton and his wife, Nina, of Holden; three grandchildren, Michael W. Dalton and his wife, Sherry, of Brewer, Christopher L. Dalton and his wife, Cameron, of Veazie and Patrick Buckley Dalton and his wife, Shannon, of Poland; seven great-grandchildren, Molly, Erin, Hannah, Jack, Katherine, Sarah and Kason Dalton; a special cousin, Jacqueline Bromwell of Lake Ridge, Va.; several nieces and nephews. Theresa was a loving, dedicated wife and mother, and will be sadly missed by her family. The family would like to express their appreciation to the employees of Engel Place for their kindness and care. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Brewer. Interment will be after at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, immediately after the interment.
