The University of Maine-Fort Kent women’s basketball team earned a pair of wins in New Brunswick over the weekend with a 75-60 win over St. Thomas University on Saturday and a 72-55 victory over Atlantic Baptist on Sunday.
In Saturday’s game at Bristol, Kristin Violette scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for 6-5 UMFK. Ashley Ames netted 17 points while Talisha Herring scored 15 points and Angela Norsworthy had 10.
In Sunday’s game at Moncton, Violette scored 18 points to lead the Bengals. Norsworthy posted 15 points while Amber Garrison scored 14 points and Ames added 13.
