GREENVILLE – Donald C. Bell, 68, died unexpectedly Jan. 5, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 23, 1940, in Limestone, son of Charles and Helen (Rossignol) Bell. After high school he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was a member of American Legion Post No. 94, Greenville. He worked for Scott Paper Co. and later for several construction companies retiring from Great Northern Paper Co. after 20 years of service. After his retirement, he continued working, most recently for Lander Construction. He is survived by his wife, Lura (Tracy) Bell of Greenville; two sons, Michael Bell and his wife, Laura, of Corinth, and Jeff Bell and his wife, Carin, of California; two sisters, Doris Walker and her husband, Tom, of Connor, and Dee Small and her husband, Dana, of Bowdoinham; two brothers, Carroll Thompson of Limestone, and Walter Thompson and his wife, Judy, of Atkinson; two grandchildren, Shawna Bell and her fiance, Jesse Neal, of Corinth, and Andrew Bell of Corinth; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and her family, Trudy, Tim, Parker, and Landen Lonesky, all of New Hampshire; and a sister-in-law, Donna Vainio and her husband, Galen, of Abbot. He was predeceased by a daughter, Vicki Bell. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, in the Greenville chapel of Crosby & Neal at the Masonic Building, Greenville, with Pastor Harbour Mitchell officiating.
