ORONO and BANGOR – Mrs. Louise L. Crain, 98, loving mother and grandmother, died Jan. 7, 2009, at a local nursing home. She was born Dec. 10, 1910, in Old Town, the daughter of Clifford and Clemence (Ouellette) Richard. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Orono, and was a member of Daughters of Isabella. She was very active in the Orono community, working with Meals for ME and she retired from Jordan meats. She is survived by one daughter, Mary Riling of Bangor; five grandchildren, Mrs. Lois Clark and her husband, Elmer, of Bangor, Linda Kenney and her husband, Max, of Orono, Ken Riling of Belfast, Dennis Riling and his wife, Margaret, of Belfast, and Alan Riling and his wife, Wanda, of Levant; 10 great-grandchildren, 21 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Alphonsus; and her son, Lawrence. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11, at Greenlawn Memorial Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor. Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
