MADAWASKA – Virginia Fongemie, 85, died Jan. 11, 2009, at a Fort Kent hospital. She was born Nov. 22, 1923, in Upper Frenchville, the daughter of Joseph and Febrenie (Michaud) Bard. She is survived by one son, Edward of Florida; two daughters, Nancy and her husband, Amy St. Pierre, of North Carolina, and Barbara Paradis of Frenchville; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard of Caribou; and one sister, Rose Deprey of Fort Kent. She was predeceased by her husband, Valere Fongemie; two sons, Frank and Clayton; and two daughters, Jackie and Frances. There will be no calling hours. A Mass of burial will be celebrated at a later date. Funeral arrangements by Michaud Funeral Home, St. Agatha.
