PRESQUE ISLE – Kenneth E. Lamoreau, 83, passed away Monday, Jan. 12, 2009, at Maine Veterans’ Home, Caribou. He was born Sept. 1, 1925, in Presque Isle, the son of Merle and Minnie (Adams) Lamoreau. Kenneth graduated from Presque Isle High School. He then went on to serve his country during World War II and the Korean War, as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He married Winona Joy Young, July 20, 1952, and together they raised their four children on the family farm in Presque Isle. Kenneth was a jack of all trades and whatever needed fixing he always knew how to fix. He taught furniture upholstery for many years at the adult education classes at Presque Isle High School. Kenneth was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church all of his life. He is survived by his wife, Winona Lamoreau of Caribou; two sons, David Lamoreau and his wife, Kim, of Caribou, and Kevin Lamoreau and his wife, Rita, of Presque Isle; a daughter, Kathy Marston and her husband, Robert, of Presque Isle; nine grandchildren and one great-grandson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Joseph. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, with Pastor Mark Harris officiating.
