VAN BUREN – Marie Rita Lamore, 87, died Jan. 12, 2009, at a Van Buren nursing home. She was born April 16, 1921, in Grand Falls, New Brunswick, the daughter of Frank and Elise (Soucy) Desjardins. She is survived by two sons, Albert E. Lamore Jr. and his wife, Mary, Alvin Lamore and his wife, Mabel, all of Vero Beach, Fla.; four daughters, Rose Marie Hernandez and her husband, John, of Oklahoma, Rachel Johnson of Kansas City, Mo., Dorothy Damboise of Van Buren, and Debra Lebel and her husband, Donald, of Vero Beach, Fla.; three brothers, Albert Desjardins of Freeport, Gerard Desjardins and Wilfred Desjardins, both of Van Buren; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Albert E. Lamore Sr., in 1988. There will be no services at this time. A funeral Mass will be celebrated in the spring and will be announced.
