TAMPA, Fla. – Rachel K. Currie, 95, formerly of Orrington, passed away Jan. 1, 2009. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, and was very active in community service, including Meals on Wheels and outings for special need citizens. She is survived by her two sons, David L. and his wife, Cheryl, of Englewood, Fla., and Stephen J. of Riverview, Fla.; eight grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A celebration service of Miss Rachel’s life will be held 1-4 p.m. Feb. 1 at The Villas on the Green at Community Cabana, Riverview, Fla.
