MILLINOCKET – Robert W. “Bobby” Boynton, 63, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at a Millinocket hospital, after a long illness. He was born March 17, 1945, in Millinocket, son of Robert C. and Fredericka (Martell) Boynton. Bobby was a graduate of Stearns High School, Class of 1963 and attended Ricker College, Houlton. He worked at the Millinocket paper mill for more than 40 years as a jack-of-all-trades; serving as master plumber for the various buildings, taking care of pumps and motors, doing welding, pipefitting and masonry work as necessary. His specialty was finish carpentry, which he greatly enjoyed, as well as making the mill a lively place with his skills as a practical jokester. Bobby also enjoyed spending time at his camp, where he was able to enjoy his skills as an avid water-skier. In more recent years, he was able to travel to Las Vegas; Cancun, Mexico; and Aruba, among other places. He is survived by his wife, Jill S. (Glidden) Boynton; his father, Robert C. Boynton; three children, Sarah Bramel and her husband, Terry, Melissa Bouchard and her husband, Frank, and Robbie Boynton and his wife, Kelly; two stepchildren, Aaron and Russell Porter; a brother, Bruce Boynton and his wife, Lori; two sisters, Angel Hibbs and her husband, Don, and Laurie Cormier and her husband, Tom; his mother-in-law, June Glidden; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Bobby will also be missed by a special brother-in-law, Russell Glidden; a special sister-in-law, Lori Boynton; and his granddog, Scout. He was predeceased by his mother, Fredericka Boynton; and his dog, Patti. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4-6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, at Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack St., Millinocket, where funeral services will begin 6 p.m. Gifts in memory of Bobby may be sent to help defray funeral and medical expenses to Lamson Funeral Home, P.O.
