STETSON – Wesley Harley Donnellan, 33, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 12, 2009, from a severe heart attack, at home with the love of his life by his side. Wes was born Aug. 28, 1975, in Bangor, to Cynthia D. (Bryant) Tozier of Carmel and Wesley E. Donnellan of Hermon. Wes attended Hermon High School, then tried his hand at several different careers, always being sure to have a good time along the way. He found his place with the Hermon Motors family. Anyone who knew Wes knew of his flare for neatness, which made him right at home at Hermon Motors. The guys always knew when Wes was in the shop since he whistled non-stop. Wes had an immense love for all animals, a huge, kind heart toward others and knew exactly who he was. Selflessness was his virtue. Being an organ donor, he gave of himself even after he was gone. He was a fan of all sports: motorcycling, boating, fishing and chilling at camp with Mindy. Wes was a best friend to his sister, Aimee, a devoted caretaker to Mimi and Bumpa, always at the ready to help when needed, and as he always worried about his mother, he instructed J.R. to “take care of my mother.” The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to Stetson Rescue and Fire Department. In addition to his parents, Wesley is survived by his true love, best friend and fiancee, Mindy L. Withee of Stetson; devoted stepfather, J.R. Tozier of Carmel; stepmother, Terry L. Donnellan of Hermon; maternal grandparents, Harley and Judy Bryant of Carmel; paternal grandmother, M. Orlane Wells of Hermon; a sister, Aimee Hatt and fiance, Scott Dionne, of Newburgh; a very special nephew and pal, Joel D. Hatt of Newburgh; two stepsisters, Shelley Tozier of Hermon and Tammie Doughty of Brewer; two stepbrothers, Randy Tozier of Hebron and Ron Tozier, dear friend and coworker of Orrington; special cousins, Amidy Cole and her son, Patrick Smith, and Evan Cole; best friends, Hollis McVeigh, Steve, Seth and Mike Slanders, all of Hampden; favorite lunch partner, Jim Reynolds of Hermon; his loving dog, Jocee; and quiet cat companion, Sox. He will be sadly missed by many other family members and great friends and was loved by all that knew him. He was predeceased by his maternal aunt, Sue Cole of Fryeburg; and paternal great-grandmother, Muriel Hashey of Hermon. Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, where a service of remembrance will be held 3 p.m. with the Rev. Garnett Chute, pastor of Hermon Baptist Church, officiating. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at Brookings-Smith Family Center, 163 Center St., Bangor, after the service. Those who wish to remember Wesley in a special way may make gifts in his memory to Bangor Humane Society, 693B Mount Hope Ave., Bangor, ME 04401. Condolences to the family may be expressed at www.BrookingsSmith.com.
