THOMASTON, Conn., and BANGOR – William “Buster” Hall Sr., 85, of Thomaston, Conn., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2009, at Bristol Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was the husband of Corinne “Queenie” Hall for 60 years. He was born June 23, 1923, in Bangor, son of the late Rose May Doak and stepfather, Herbert Lovell. William proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946 and was stationed in Italy. He then moved to Boston and attended radio school. William and Corinne were married in Boston in 1948. After moving to Thomaston, Conn., he became a loyal employee and welder for American Brass, Waterbury, Conn., retiring after 35 years of service. William was a lifetime member of the VFW and a member of Liberty Continental Masonic Lodge No. 76 of Waterbury, Conn., Consistory 32nd Degree Mason and member of Scottish Rite Bodies. William enjoyed model trains and planes. In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by one sister, Etta Marie D’Agastino of Hudson; a brother, Paul Lovell of Augusta; a daughter, Linda Bellemare and her husband, Ronald, of Thomaston, Conn.; a son, William Hall Jr. and significant other, Rita Cushman, of Livermore; two granddaughters, Amy and her husband, DJ Nicholson, of Northfield, Conn., and Charlene Bellemare of Washington, Conn.; three great-grandchildren, Tim, David and Sarah Nicholson, also of Northfield, Conn.; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20.
