PRESQUE ISLE – Joan A. McCausland, 67, wife of the late Archie A. McCausland, died Jan. 18, 2009, at her home. She was born Feb. 4, 1941, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Edwin and Alvene (Ayotte) Lathrop. She was a longtime member of Church of Jesus. Surviving her are three daughters, Mary McCausland, Nancy Cray and her husband, Jerry, all of Presque Isle, and Susan Wheaton and her husband, David, of South Windham; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Skipper Lathrop of Pittsfield and Loren Lathrop of South Portland. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Junior Lathrop. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday at Church of Jesus, Chapman Street, Presque Isle, with the Rev. Earl Durost officiating. Relatives and friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. A spring interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery.
