BANGOR and SOUTH PORTLAND – Jacqueline “Jackie” Waterhouse, 70, passed away peacefully Jan. 26, 2009, after losing a long battle with cancer. Jackie was born Jan. 17, 1939, in Portland, and lived in South Portland with her family most of her life. She most recently lived in Bangor to be near her daughter, Sherri. Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Willard and Pauline Wallace; and her husband, Burnham “Eddie” Waterhouse. She is survived by her brother, Peter Wallace of New Hampshire; her son, Michael Waterhouse and his wife, Debbie, of Springvale; her daughter, Sherri Gastia and her husband, Ron, of Bangor; four grandchildren, Jason, Dustin, Brad and T.J.; and a great-grandson, Lucas. A committal service and burial will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, at the Maine Veterans’ Cemetery, Augusta. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jackie’s memory may be made to Ross Manor Nursing Home, Bangor.
